Sermon for Sunday, 1st May 2011 (Second Sunday of Easter) — 2 Comments

  1. I see you like to live dangerously in your sermons – challenging your congregation to dwell on boredom. I suspect you’re one of the few who can get away with it.

  2. I get bored myself, sometimes.

I knew a clergyman in Belfast – an excellent preacher – who broke off from his evening sermon, saying, ‘I’m not sure what I am talking about; and I’m not sure you know. Let’s sing a hymn instead’
