Woodstock was always a piece of mythology — 3 Comments

  1. We had a bit of fun here with Curraghmore having a music festival but someone forgot the place was placed where it was to prevent huge numbers arriving to it fast. It’s the Irish geographical version of the Persian collapse at the battle of Salamis. And was one of the chokepoints should the Germans land in Ireland in WW2.
I wonder if the Teighe of Woodstock in Kilkenny had anything to do with the development of the place in New York.

  2. Is there a connection between Woodstock in Kilkenny and the one in Oxford?

(The Teighe family are still patrons of the Church of Ireland parish of Inishtioge)
