  1. He wouldn’t, not in Dublin, nor in any other city – I woke this morning to the foul news of more than 100 Romanians being put out of their homes in South Belfast. Hatred of the stranger and alien is a sin to which humankind has been liable from the dawn of time. Jesus calls us to reject it in the parable of the Good Samaritan.

  2. The Belfast story was really depressing. After years of inter-communal violence, it would have been encouraging to think that people have moved on
