Unequal even in death — 2 Comments

  1. I know some people find comfort in visiting the graves of their loved ones but I just can’t bring myself to do it. Wouldn’t bother me a jot to be buried in a paupers grave given the cost of funerals these days. Just wrap me in a hessian sack and send me on my way.

  2. Graves are important, pastorally, to many people. One of the things I have begun to do in the last few months is to invite people to gather at the grave on the first anniversary of the death of their loved one. It seems to be sometimes helpful; it’s something I should have done long before.
