When Google gives you no audience — 2 Comments

  1. Yep, I concur.
Here’s a twist for you though. In Ireland the push to get people into self employment has caused a false connection. There are moneys available to establish websites, a lot of money. But the person starting has to put 20-25% of the cost. Meaning someone starting a small business has to find €400 ishy for their share and are usually tied into a maintenance fee over two years. They do this for they are told by ‘experts’ to do so. However, like your religious people the ‘build it and they will come’ only works for baseball playing ghosts.
What isn’t spoken about by the experts is that an active free blog is as useful as any business website costing thousands.

  2. Websites are assumed to have a power to create something out of nothing. Small businesses will only find an online presence works if they already have their offline customer base. The future is in the hands of Google!
