  1. Never saw anything very scary – lots of cattle, sheep and ponies. The scariest moment was doing a Duke of Edinburgh walk along a track that passed a farm. The farmer turned his sheepdogs on us. We ran uphill with rucksacks on until suddenly a pig appeared from a field and ran at the dogs – they both turned tail in fright. It was a very odd moment, being saved by a pig.

  2. When I was 16, I would have thought ‘gothic’ had something to do with the city in which Batman lived! We used to go to that grave because there were stories that the ghost of Mary Jay would appear – she never did.

  3. We used to do the same at the girls school in Teignmouth, although it was usually for a ‘purpose’,meeting friends or chaperoning a friend meeting a boy. Funny times 🙂

  4. Hmmm. I remember a rendezvous up on some heath one summer night in 1977

There was never anyone to meet on the moor 🙁
